The North Sacramento Community Development Corporation improves the quality of life for community members in North Sacramento through the promotion of community-driven, holistic economic and community development.

VISION
- Collaboration: Residents, business owners, community-based organizations, faith-based groups, local government entities, and other stakeholders work together to achieve shared goals. Partnerships are well-established, trusted, effective, and recognized as critical to success.
- Civic Engagement: Community members are active participants in local and regional decision-making processes. North Sacramento has high rates of civic engagement, voter registration, and voter turnout.
- Activated Spaces: North Sacramento is blight free with creative uses of vacant lots, buildings, and alleyways. Front facing patios, parklets, and well-lit storefronts show residents and visitors enjoying the community. Commercial corridors and residential areas are vibrant and full of life, enticing passersby.
- Safety: Families and neighbors feel safe walking throughout the neighborhoods, gathering in parks, and at home. North Sacramento is a community where people look out for one another.
- Economic Opportunity: Residents have access to meaningful employment in the area and throughout the region. With a strong “Shop Local” culture, residents benefit from successful local businesses that provide services and goods needed in the community. These businesses attract and serve patrons from the greater Sacramento Region.
- Housing: North Sacramento is a mixed-income community that is affordable to residents at all levels, providing quality subsidized and market-rate housing opportunities for rent and homeownership.
- Transportation: North Sacramento is a walkable and bikeable neighborhood with active transportation infrastructure connected to quality, high-frequency public transit.

- Health: Families and individuals in North Sacramento have access to health services, park space, fresh produce, healthy food, and other resources critical to quality individual and community-wide health outcomes.
